Deanna Cooper Gillingham RN, CCM
Deanna is a leader in case management with over a quarter-century experience in healthcare as a Registered Nurse and Case Manager. As a nurse, she has worked in a variety of clinical settings including med surge, dialysis, oncology, hospice, SICU, LDRP, L&D, and GI Lab. She has also worked as a travel nurse, agency nurse, and patient service representative. As a Case Manager, she has worked in complex and transplant case management.
Deanna is passionate about developing the case management workforce. As co-founder and CEO of the Case Management Institute, she is dedicated to decreasing barriers to entry into this profession and developing case managers into leaders. She is also the leader and co-founder of the Case Managers Community, a group of over 10,000 committed case managers.
Deanna has served on the Board of Directors of the CMSA Foundation, is a member of The Case Management Society of America (CMSA), Registered Nurse Innovators, Influencers, & Entrepreneurs (RNiie), and The National Nurses In Business Association (NNBA). She also serves on the board of directors of The Playa del Carmen Seaside Rotary whose mission is helping Playa’s children.
She is currently living her dream life in Puerto Aventuras, Mexico. From there she is writing her next book or course from her patio overlooking the beautiful Caribbean Sea. Unless that is, she is traveling the world with her friends and family.
